Why do colors look different when printed?
Screens use RGB (Red, Green, Blue) light to display colors, while printers use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) inks. RGB has a wider color gamut than CMYK, so some bright screen colors — especially neon greens, electric blues, and vivid oranges — appear duller in print.
What is CMYK?
CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black). These are the four ink colors used in standard color printing. All printed colors are created by combining these four inks in varying amounts.
